How does a double play work in Powerball? ›

Double Play is an add-on feature that gives players in select jurisdictions another chance to match their Powerball numbers in a separate drawing with a top cash prize of $10 million. Players can add the Double Play feature to their Powerball ticket for an additional $1 per play.

Power Play®

For an additional $1 per play, the Power Play feature can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times! Note: the Match 5 prize with Power Play is always $2 million. The multiplier number is randomly selected before each drawing.
